Hi!  Welcome to the new Winning Edge blog!  My goal is to provide you with valuable information to run your business.  Based on my years of experience with small businesses, I have found that I get the same questions from most of them and I keep repeating the same information.  So, to eliminate the need to call me for these answers (although I am happy to hear from you anytime), I created this blog to share some of that information with you and have an open forum for my clients to ask questions, solve problems and get helpful information.

If you have any suggestions for what you would like me to write about on here, please send me a message and let me know.  Also, feel free to share this with anyone who you think could benefit from it.  My thought is the best way to succeed in your business is to have the tools and people necessary to help you run your business efficiently.  Accounting is one of those critical things that most business owners don't know much about, or don't enjoy, but it is so necessary to your success.  If you don't know where your company is financially, it is almost impossible to manage and grow your business.

Another area where I see problems is the "I can do it myself and save money" business owner.  My philosophy on that is to do what you are good at, and pay others to do the things you are not experienced enough to do.  I follow that philosophy in my own business.  If I do not feel 100% confident that I can do something important to my business, I hire someone who can.  I know it is sometimes difficult for new businesses, with cash flow issues, but that is another topic all together.  My advice on this is, it is always going to cost you less in the long run to pay someone to do it right the first time.
